Ice Cube Building Blocks
This one is super easy and a lot of fun.
You can do it on any flat surface. Kitchen tables work great but if
you want to avoid the mess you can also use paper plates.
Place an ice cube on your surface and sprinkle some salt on top.
You will notice that the salt begins to melt the ice.
When you start to see some water forming on top of the ice cube
place another ice cube on top.
The ice cubes will start to refreeze the water and stick together
From here you can do anything you want.
Build a house or a pyramid. Let your imagination go wild.
If more than one person is doing it you could see who can build the
tallest stack before it falls over. You could also give each person a
set amount of ice cubes and see who can make the tallest structure
that will not fall over.
Talk together about what other things you could build.
Laugh, have fun, and make memories.
Materials you will need:
• Lots of ice cubes
• Salt
• A Flat Surface
• Paper Plates (if desired)
