1. You start this bracelet a little differently than the others - here you will use 4 different color strands each at least 6 feet in length. Holding all 4 strands, fold them in half and make an overhand knot forming a loop. Slip this loop under the clipboard gripper and you will have 8 strings to work. Arrange the strings in a mirror image - see diagram. It's time to knot!
2. Start by doing the basic knot twice, knotting the first string on the left over its neighbor and then over the next string and the the next until you reach the center. Now do the same starting with the first string on the right.
3. When you reach the center (the 2 center strings should be the same color) make another double basic knot with the right hand string over the left. Wow! Row one is complete. Time for row 2.
4. Do row 2 exactly as you did the first row and then row 3, row 4, etc. Do all the rows until you finish your bracelet, which you should end in the way explained in the basic instructions.
Have fun trying different color combinations!
Variation
This is the perfect bracelet to add beads to. When you have finished the center joining knots, simply slip the strings through a bead and then knot again. You can space out the beads how ever you want. Have fun trying different color combinations!
