This is another favorite in my house. I love
that when they get sick of eating apples and
I still have a bunch left I can bake a pan to
use up the apples. Much easier than pie.
You will need
Filling
4 cup apples, chopped
3 Tablespoon flour
1 cup sugar
1/2 teaspoon nutmeg
1/2 teaspoon cinnamon
Topping
1 cup brown sugar
1 cup oatmeal
1 1/2 cup flour
1/2 cup butter
1. Grease a 9 x 13 casserole pan
2. Peel and chop up the apples
3. Mix up the filling in a bowl and then place in pan
4. Mix up the topping in a bowl and then place in pan
5. Bake at 375 degrees for 40 minutes or until brown
Just like I told you, super easy and tasty!
This one is great served warm with ice cream or
whipped cream on top. To change it around when
you want something new, you can also try adding
nuts to the topping mixture or berries to the filling.
I do have to admit
that I love the
topping so I make
more topping. This
recipe is great
served with butter
pecan ice cream.
